On my 2013 F150 5,0, my radiator cooling fan(s) went into high speed with only the drivers side running. My indepedent mechanic put in a used GM relay and then both fans ran correctly on low speed. He ordered me a Ford Motorcraft relay and I put it in and all was fine for 500 miles. High fan was back and said mechanic checked for code but wasn't any. He cleared the check engine light and fans started working correctly.
I've been battling check engine light for a month now. Had P2610 code. Been to 2 dealerships. 2nd one replaced temp sensor behind head. No fix. Ford said to disconnect rear camera fuse. No fix. Now have put in a used PCM, maybe cured it. Dealer said Ford relay was for an earlier range of years and put correct one in. I thought a 40 amp relay that fit would be universal. Any thoughts? Thanks and sorry for long story.
