OneDrive
Does anybody have a good explanation of OneDrive options and where to set them all. I just caught it trying to back up something that I edited off line - because I have a system that does not involve any internet when I'm working on it.
After I removed the USB stick and went back on line, it started stashing a copy that it had made (Excel) when I was off line. I was able to toss it, but their explanations are so vague that I'm never sure. How about a diagram that shows exactly what is what. They throw around terms like backup, sync, and documents -- with different meanings for different situations as far as I can tell. I just want a system to stash files on that I want to be access from different computers - when I want to. Stop doing automatic anything.
Another OneDrive feature. Several times it's emailed me pics from my OneDrive files. I unsubscribed once, but it apparently thought I'd waited long enough and sent me one today. Since I do a lot of pics of various projects, it was one of those. Treasured memories indeed. Please leave me the F alone. I can't wait until they go crazy on AI

MS IS MS , they S--K , they just ran me through a mess, my 3 year old super fast gamer box got updated, after the update, up pops up this computer won't run windows 11,your secure boot chip fails to meet standards , yah w t ? it was running 11 pro before the update, had to build a new one, new mb. new cpu, ( thanks ms a amd 4 socket is now 5, my 12 core chip now a 6 core ) new ddr 5 memory as the 64 gb of 4 game i had fails to work with a b650 chip set, ,new MS licenses for windows and office 2021 pro, can't reuse the numbers with a new MB,
as to your problem i carry a portable usb hard drive and store.backup everything on it,

i know the install hack to bypass setting up the ms account b stink, on startup, no log in pin or password, no ms account, no one drive, bitlocker turned off. the new box works like it was win 7 or 10.

tried a few of the work arounds, didn't have any luck, doing something wrong? strong maybe?? but it got to where i just packed it in, end result i have a new game box, that's used to edit photo's and music,
thou i am dreading what happens when 12 comes out shortly as they are already pushing some items i see on my insiders test machine, like forcing the ms account and new hardware restrictions.

one of my laptops is like yours, the hacks worked, for how much longer, as what i see in the insiders box not much longer, new tpm and secure chip standards
