I've been asking lots of questions here since I started a full restoration on my 77 f150 last September. I've had to put nearly 1000 hours into this truck since then learning everything about rebuilding that I didn't know before, which was lots since last September I was 23 haha.
This weekend I finally got the cab painted and re installed back onto a fully restored and upgraded underside (Literally everything was touched) Lots more work to go but it finally feels like a truck again
I've had nothing but a smile on my face every time I go to look at it. I've been showing photos to lots of people I know locally and figured with all the advice I received from here I was only obliged to share here too
Thanks to everyone on here who helped me get to this stage. Much more work than I ever imagined but I loved it. Gotta also thank my wife for believing it only cost a couple thousand to get to this stage
Ill share more photos when everything else gets together but for now here is a couple
Is this another one of your rigs?? I swear all the other ones of yours I’ve seen are sick there’s no way they get cooler
Thanks for the compliment, I wish that one was mine. Or I had those truck building abilities. It is just a internet pic of a awesome dentside Ultra 4 race truck. But your is on the road to be "sick" also.
Thanks guys. The original color of the truck was actually white although when I bought it someone had spray bombed it a teal color. I loved the color but wanted an original ford color for my year. This one is Bahama blue. Goes by a million names I’m sure
heres a photo of what color it was when I bought it
Our truck was Wimbledon White from the factory. If I had my druthers and the build wasn't for my Dad it would have been redone in Viper blue, but it's not about me so after a brief foray into pearl white color choices the original Wimbledon White ended up staying. Love the trucks that are done in modern blue colors. There are a few examples on this forum.
