I recently had some exhaust work done on my truck and I'm not sure but I believe I've lost some power. The muffler shop put a short Flowmaster street muffler on the truck and a single 3" tail pipe. Before, the truck had the original setup, long muffler w/ two 1 1/2" tailpipes (I think 1 1/2")
I don't have a tachometer in the truck so I'm not sure what the RPM range is when the truck bogs down. Is it possible that I either have too much exhaust back pressure or not enough?
Free-flowing exhaust systems often cause a shift in the power band. The 'shift' of power is always to higher RPMs. It is very possible that you have "lost" some low-RPM power.
You might try to reset the ECU (disconnect the battery for a while) and see if it helps.
