Angry 2025 F250 AC problems

I purchased my F250 7.3 gas back at the end of May to upgrade so I could tow a new to us 7000 pound travel trailer. No complaints with the towing. In July we went to Fort Mountain State Park and got the camper all set up. The next day we went exploring the area and after driving around a couple of hours the AC just completely stopped working. Took the truck into Chatsworth Ford and they were very good about finding the problem. They ordered the part on Tuesday afternoon (an electromagnetic clutch). Part arrived late Wednesday and they got the truck back to me on Thursday. All this with only 2500 miles on truck. Now this afternoon with 2800 miles the AC just quit again. Got back home and by shutting off then restarting the engine and turning AC off and on several times it has started working again. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Just a bit frustrated as I've never had AC issues in any new vehicles before. I'm leery of going back to local dealer in Newnan if the AC decides to work tomorrow. Any insights from similar experience is appreciated!

Such a remark is not only unwelcoming... it can also be perceived as rude.

It is not only unkind, it is also unlikely, as the internet is intrinsic to many aspects of modern life.

Moreover, it is entirely unhelpful to understanding or resolving the topic.

A friend of mine spent $800,000 on a machine, and never once looked at a forum of any kind.

I was at his house the other day and to get to the laundry room to wash my hands, I had to make my way around a brand new $175,000 Range Rover in the garage that he just bought for his wife. I know for a fact that he never looked online before buying that POS... likely THE most unreliable SUV made today (but by far the sexiest looking).

He makes money. He doesn't need to make the rounds among the forums to research his purchases. He bought a 24 GMC Canyon... tried it for a while... liked it for a bit, then decided that a 25 GMC 1500 with a 3.0L Duramax and a bigger cabin would better fit the bill. The trade was done within a week... the only delay being locating the truck with the trim level he wanted. He has the internet in his pocket. He sends me emails all the time. He doesn't have time to look at forums.

I have seen that the 23 and up trucks will freeze from time to time. Especially on humid days. Sounds like this isn't your problem, but something to consider. I turned up the temperature to 62 or 3 and it would thaw out pretty quick.

I had to take mine back into the dealer 3 times before they could duplicate the problem, it was intermittent at first.

I have a 2025 F350 KR 7.3 and took it in for a oil change today. When I picked it up (at dealership) the service advisor said they did a quick a/c inspection. He said there a service bulletin about potential a/c problem. Said inspection was just visual but said I could bring it back for the test they are asked to do . It involves run the a/c while engine is operating at 2000 rpm for an hour . I haven’t had any issues so far with my a/c at 10,000 miles . He said a TSB is out on it but no recall at this moment. He also mentioned he hasn’t seen any 25’s come in with the issues.

2000RPM for an hour? Ford paying for the gas?

Forgot to mention the Customer Satisfaction bulletin he told me had the check out procedure.
The number is C 25p21 AC Compressor Inspection

Looks like it’s limited for vehicles with less than 10,000 miles if I read it right.

Friend of mine took his VW in for an intermittent problem. When he went to pick it up, on the service ticket it said “Insufficient fuel to replicate problem”. So they stopped trying to fix it. Based on the mileage in and out, they drove it for almost 300 miles. At what point does is the dealer/manufacturer responsible for the fuel.
He filled the tank, brought it back and they found and fixed the problem.

The evaporator can freeze over. There's a sensor that's supposed to prevent this that sometimes doesn't work properly. It only shows up with extended running and you need the RPM for the system to work at maximum efficiency. There may be other things too.

In looking at the service bulletin it mentioned possibility of the compressor locking up . A symptom is a noisy compressor. I’m taking truck in tomorrow for the test .

So update on my 2025 F350 KR 7.3 . I setup an appointment yesterday to have the Service advisory performed on my A/C . Was told about this on Monday while getting oil changed about 15 miles shy of 10,000 miles . Service advisor told me I could look it up to see all that is involved in the inspection. I looked it up Tuesday and it mentioned it Ford would do it under 10,000 miles , it also mentioned the potential for compressor to lock up . Since we were scheduled to pull our travel trailer close to 2000 miles I decided to get the test performed. I scheduled it yesterday to have it done today. Got a call this morning and service advisor said Ford wouldn’t approve test since truck is over 10,000 miles . I told him it was his problem because I could have left it when doing oil change and it would be under the 10k if he had read the service advisory . He said bring it in and they would cover it. So long story short test was performed and it’s all good.
So if your truck falls into this advisory get it checked before 10k on the odometer.
