Steam without Blowby
I have a 2105 F250 4X4 CC, PSD with 127,000 miles on it. Bone stock except for the DCR pump upgrade. For the last couple of oil changes, I noticed that I was getting some steam from the oil fill cap when I removed it. You can't really see in the pic, but with engine running, I am getting a steady stream of steam out of the filler tube. I flipped the cap over while running and the cap didn't budge, so no blow by i guess. I am not losing any coolant, and the CCV box was replaced a while ago under customer satisfaction program 17M04. Is this anything to be concerned about?

Here's it explained better than I can...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cran...ilation_system
This is for marine applications but has good info:

another one:

So it appears your CCV box is not plugged and flowing well. If it wasn't, then you would have your oil fill cap blowing off indicating your crankcase is over pressurized which could lead to a upper oil pan leak do to the crankcase pressure not being relieved.
Those gases are produced by everyone's 6.7 engine here...
