Added the keyless entry keypad to a 2025 Platinum Plus today with success. The only thing you need to accomplish are these 2 part numbers, a 7mm socket, a pick and ForScan.
First thing you want to do is remove the old B-pillar cover. Start by removing the T20 screw that holds the trim down. Trim with a chrome strip is tough to get off without damaging the clips. You don’t need to remove the entire thing from the truck, you just need to get 8 inches or so up enough to sneak the molding around it. Here is a video showing the process. It’s the rear, but it really is fairly close to how to remove the front.
To access the wiring harness that is located in the door with a dummy plug, take the door panel off. It’s held on by 5 7mm screws and pop clips. Remove the panel under the door handle with by pulling the panel from the top straight back towards you to expose 2 bolts. One is under the power mirror wiring cover at the top. 2 are on the bottom exposed. The last is behind the red reflector. Use something to get behind the top of it and pull it towards you. Pics of what the pop clips look like so you know where to pry. Once all are removed, start from one of the bottom corners popping the door panel out. Once you work your way around all the bottom and side clips, lift the panel up and then back. Once you unplug all the harnesses and detach the door handle and lock cable, set the door cover to the side. Here is a video I used:
Pull the moisture barrier off to access the guts of the door. You will see the harness on a clip running on the door frame.
Pop the bottom threaded port out to make getting the harness down through the door easier.
BCM change
APIM
Once I changed the settings in the BCM and APIM, I had to do the “double key” method to get the Vehicle Settings tab in the screen to show the door code function. This requires you to take key 1, put it in the slot under the tray and key on the truck. Wait for the 3-4 dings to go off and then shut the truck down. Remove key 1 and get it out of distance and do the same with key 2. After the 3-4 dings, the truck will display your 5-digit key code in the info box on the instrument cluster. It will also add the door code function under the “Vehicle” section of the “Settings” tab. After that, test way and make sure it works!
Hardest part of the project was snaking the harness through the door and behind the window track. Either use a fish tape or a wife with tiny hands and arms. Everything else is extremely straight forward. Hope this helps someone.
Holy *****!

How long did it take you?

I’d say around 1.5 hrs. Pretty easy minus routing that harness.
Ford hired a GM engineer that didn't understand how we do things over here.
Keep the door code buttons, take your bed step and give it back to the General.
As someone who is short and has back problems, those bed steps are a God send - especially with the flip down extra step. I will take function over form any day.
thanks so much for adding this info!!
I ordered the parts from My dealership, showed up this morning to pick them up, the service manager was sitting beside the parts department and we started talking, I explained the situation, he said they can and will install them for me, what a relief
