Trip "A" resets.
999 miles, straight line.
several starts and stops.
Get to the destination, 0.00 miles assumed.
Head back, same behavior.
hard to keep track of mileage.
Never seen this before.
Stumped.
2006 E250 5,4.

Does the ODO tick off miles as you drive?
If it ticks off miles but the trip counters are inop, there are a couple of basic power checks to diagnose your instrument cluster, then you replace it or send it in for repairs
That is what the dealer would have done back when it was new
Now that it is older, you are looking at a electronics service shop like "Spedo Tach" to repair your cluster
Mat be as simple as a stuck trip reset button
Grab yourself a service manual and start testing
