ok i try to avoid conflict at any cost. BUT, tonight at the bar i had an issue i couldnt turn away from. i treid and tried but couldnt....
some dude that kniows a few of my friends, gives me a ti^^y twistser.... twice.... ive never met the guy before. i dont know how or why he thought he should do that to me. i told him to NEVER tough me again.
the for some reason his buddy comes up to giv me a drink. with his arm aropund my waist. BIG problem..... i dont put up with that stuff unless its from a woman.
long story short a few people, bouncers and friends had to intervien.... all i wanted tyo do was tell the dude just to stay away from me, and if he even touches me again itll cost him teeth.,
am i in the wrong? or did i offeer the right advice? stay away from me... my whole main point. anyways i waited in the parkng lot til the bar was almost empty in case he still didnt get my point, then i caught a ride homw. is it so much to ask for a guy not tp touch me??? just stay awaqy ya know?
In the very few circumstances where I have been approached by a male who touched me, I have stepped to the rear, held my hands down, but slightly to the front, and said "Back off" in a firm voice. I have always gotten immediate compliance from innocent persons, with no bad feelings. On the occasions when it has been somebody attempting to take advantage of their proximity to me, for nefarious purposes, they have reacted belligerently, but without purposeful aggression. The situation has always turned out well, with no particular effort on my part.
You're prolly not in the wrong
in similar situations I have explained that I don't like guys like that, and been left alone, of course there are certain bars I won't go to cause I'd expect that sort of thing there.
after I get out of the situation, I usually try to use it as a learning experience, and it helps me see how women feel in bars sometimes when they don't want to be hit on.
Having spent many hours in many bars during my younger years, I can say that being in the bar is the root of the problem. You might be surprised at how uncommon it is for someone to grab your nipple in other environments.
jor
Jor- i see what your saying, the whole "dont go to the bars then" idea. yeah, but thats not my style... im stubborn... and i like to socialize with the people there that ARE my friends, and dont grab other guys in unwanted areas.
TheWiz... i probably could have knocked him down and gotten away with it in 1960 like my father use to... BUT the bouncers at this bar are BIG!!! and after they throw ya out, they call the autorities.
im just really frustrated with it. i just went there to have a good time. all i requested was to have my own "space" and that was too much to ask for. i dont know why, but people just seem to be drawn to start situations with me. thankfully i got a good friend who helps to smooth things out.
by the way i just remembered the first guy is a chevy salesman... that explains alot
I cant say as I would like that much either. But knocking teeth out and such could get you kicked out of the bar. Try some pressure points. It really gets their attention and not everybody elses
the second guy was a bit older than me. we took it outside after some requests from a few employees. i got a pretty good kick out of telling the guy " i can tell you dont want to be in this situation by the tear running down your cheek"
i couldnt help but laugh at him about that. i dont know why he had a tear there but his excuse was cause its cold out...
i tried time and time again to just say, dont touch me, drop the situation and everytime i thought it was over hed be back woth something else to say.
After the second time, He would have been on his butt.
Getting thrown out or not, I would have let him have it
You tell the guy once, he does it again... It's his problem from there
That's just strange, someone that you don't know just comes up out of the blue and gives you a t tiwster. First time would of been a verbal warning, second time I just would of knocked him down.
just remember, like Ron white said....the cops will tell u that u have the right to remain silent after u r kicked out of the bar, but u may no longer have the ability!!!!!
U got hit on by a guy?!!!? Sorry had to get that out. Yeah the first time wouldve been a verbal, the second time his wind pipe wouldve been shoved down his throat. Thrown out or not, after the second time the fight wouldve been on. U wasnt in the wrong at all.
Ron White quote "u know how we can tell they are queer down in texas, they have a hair cut ....... like yours" "I dont think so... scooter" "Now when i say they threw me out of the bar, i mean 6 guys literally picked me up and threw me out of the bar"
"then they wanted to square off with me in the parking lot" "i didnt know how many it was gonna take, but i knew how many they was gonna use"
or the DUI story... "that DUI charge was B.S. cause it turns out they were pulling over every car on that particular sidewalk that day"
"do you have any aliases ?" "yeah, 'tater salad" i laughed all night after that one
if you dont have a clue what im talking about its from the "blue collar comedy tour" with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the cable guy, Ron White and another comedian... hilarious show
