Looking for a nice 6V mechanical advance dist . Read some older posts but those places are closed now that I have seen. Any ideas on a nice one that will run on the stock 6V system ? Mine has bad advace springs or the wrong ones as it's sloppy till the vacuum start to pull and I have a stumble. Want to run my new stromberg too.
Which exact dizzy do you have? There were a few different options that could have made their way into a flathead V8 that are compatible with certain timing covers and whatnot. It may be best to rebuild the one you got with new bushings and springs and whatnot.

Charlie Schwendler builds stock and converted Chevy and vintage Mallory distributors. He also does carburetors and fuel pumps. Runs them on a test engine before sending them to you. Great guy that does great work.
