Wondering if a fiberglas hard shell on a 2025/2026 Super Duty would interfere with the 360 system's view capability. I have not figured out how many cameras there are, let alone their location. This is pure magic to me! I assume I will be a fan after a test drive.
There should be no ill effects from a topper affecting the 360 camera. You will find that any equipped bed cameras will likely be obstructed though. That camera is located on the center high mounted stop light above your rear window. The camera for the rear of the truck is near the handle to drop the tailgate.
Thanks for the explanation everyone! I figured I may have heard by now if covering the bad might cause a major disruption to functionality. As I said in my OP, the ability to project views in all directions and from above is mystical to my. But I'm still pretty impressed with a backup camera that can predict a vehicle's path! It's all great, and but one of the advances that advocate a move forward from 2004.
On a side note, my cab-high bed facing camera quit working yesterday. I use it often, to keep an eye on loads in the bed. When I press the button now, all I get is a purple/blue'ish screen. Any thoughts on resetting this? Or is it shot...
