My 2022 Ranger developed a low brake pedal on initial application, one pump and it is normal height. I made an appointment for dealer to check it out. My brother's 2020 had the same problem which seems to be returning. When the problem initially surfaced, the brake control module on his Ranger was replaced. Any one else have this?

 

I have not encountered that on my 2019. Good luck on the fix, please report back what they found!

 

Dealership checked it thoroughly but found nothing wrong. They stated that it may be in the beginning stages of a problem and if it progresses it should show an indication on the dash display.

 

Did your brother's truck get the same answer from the dealership?

 

Sorry to be so slow responding Death in family. Different dealership on my brother's Ranger. Will be able to talk to him more then, but II will be away from computer for a good three weeks!

 

I have a 23 model and my pedal used to travel a lot and feel mushy. Could pump it up and felt fine afterward. I took my scanner and initiated an ABS brake bleed, didn’t even crack the bleeders open. But it took care of it and the pedal feels great now.
