Super Duty Ride
Old dirt track trick:
Pressure wash your leaf springs very well. When dry unload the rear suspension and use a pry bar and create a little space between each leaf near the ends. Get some water resistant grease on a 2” putty knife and put a dollop on the spring contact area. Do this for each spring.
The spring rate is the same but the springs now work so much smoother.
You will swear your driving a F-150

Run a larger sidewall like a 295/70 and drop the PSI. Change shocks to Ranch RS7MT.
What is your front GAWR? No heavy spring options?

I gurss I'm just spoiled. I upgraded from an F-150, so I guess I expected a bit less of a bone jarring ride. The roads around here suck! So I feel every little bump and road divot!
Well if you dont want to mess with lift springs etc. Do an alignment, fox ifp steering stabilizer, Rancho RS7MT shocks, and a 295/70/18 in a mild tread like Bridgestone AT or Michelin Defender.
Tire pressure tpms at 45 front and rear. Put 55 rear when hauling/towing max.

Your stock springs are the lightest available

My Mercedes GLE53AMG rides much better than my F350 dually, but the Ford does much better with my 10,000 lb trailer behind it. ;-)
Drop you tire pressures and call it a day.
2 cents,

lol maybe for a light duty spring it'd make a difference. otherwise, its placebo. the binding springs is for sure an issue but the shackles also are all bound up from the rubber they use. full progressive leaf pack and upgraded shackles from Carli would make a massive difference.
Have had a 17 and 19 upper trim 6.7 F250 CCSB with base rear springs.
One with 5600 coils and fox 2.0, wasn’t smooth but I also kept the tires aired up. Fox IFP SS.
One with RC coils and rs7mt and is pretty smooth, close to F150 smooth. Aired the tires down some on this one. Fox IFP SS.
I point out the Rs7mt because its a monotube and has 150psi charge as opposed to the bilstein monotubes with 200psi. I wouldn’t run the bilstein unless I was tow/hauling often. I just tow my skid steer a thousand or so miles a year on short trips moving it.
No- the spring rate is the spring rate is the spring rate.
All you are doing is eliminating interleaf friction so the springs flex smoother.
As far as how often I usually do it in the spring and fall.
Don't believe me? Try the quick fast and dirty- wash the springs then after they are dry shoot them with some motorcycle chain lube.
Come back and let us know what you think.
