limited slip idea

I am currently replacing my dead spider gears and side gears on my 8.8 and noticed that on my clutch pack the two closest to the side gears have had their tabs destroyed and I found and cleaned out all the metal in the catcher at the bottom of the diff. I got replacement spider gears and side gears for $100 and got the clutch packs for $120 (does this price seem reasonable?) and when I replace the clutch pack if I add a washer or two from my old dead clutch pack will that help increase locking up of the rear? Just curious

FYI- A senior user can email a newbie but they can't use the email function for a while to prevent spammers etc.
