300 I6 conversion
I have a 351 w in my 85 bronc with a c-6. Both components are in need of some TLC. I've heard great things about the 300 I6 and was thinking about putting one of those in instead. Also I was thinking about swapping the c-6 with a heavy duty 5-speed tranny like the ZF. Does anyone know if this is doable?

you would n eed motor mounts to get the 6 cyl in there, and maybe a diff radiator. It would bolt up to your current trains, as they use the same bolt pattern .. the 300, 302, and 351. As far as switching to the 5 speed, a good idea in my mind as well. Best bet would be to try to find one already behund a small block, usually in 250/350's i believe. if you had said something a few months ago i had a 300 laying around you coulda had for dirt.
