Greets All
Greets All
Lane here from the Desert Southwest. Yeah, it was 112 degrees F today. I've owned, driven, and ridden lots of different vehicles over the years. First was a Honda CT-70 at the age of 13. Other bikes were a Kawasaki KZ-400, Honda Shadow 500, and finally an '89 Honda GL-1500/6, better known as the GoldWing which is still in the garage today. Cars and trucks...let's see: learned to drive in Dad's '67 F100, 300ci straight 6 with 3 on the tree and an electric overdrive. My first car was a '67 Mustang convertible. Then there was a '56 Caddy Sedan de Ville, a '53 Chevy Sedan Delivery (still have that one), '73 Mercedes 240D, '79 Olds Delta 88 Royale, and then, finally, a venture back into trucks with a '94 Dodge Dakota 4x4 SLT. Great little mid-size with a 318ci V8. Got married and the Mrs. brought her VW with her and we drove the hell out of that thing and replaced it with a brand new '07 Toyota Yaris that my wife still loves and drives to work 4 days a week. Before the Yaris came a son and an '02 Mazda MPV ES. The Mazda was my first ever brand new car and it was a @@##$% minivan. At least the GoldWing was new, if that counts since it's a motorcycle. Well, the Mazda got sold and we bought a 2010 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X which ended up pulling our little 21' Coachmen trailer, barely. We needed something bigger and then 2 months ago I saw this very sexy Rapid Red 2022 F-250 Lariat FX-4 CCSB with a 6.7l Power Stroke. She won my heart and has been in the carport since. I'll be asking a lot of questions and will hopefully gather enough knowledge to be able to answer a few as well. Geez, what a ramble!
P.S. There was an '05 Honda Accord in there as well. And the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus in the garage that the Mrs. said we had to have. So we bought it (hopefully our last brand new vehicle purchase) and she went right back to driving her little blue Yaris. My son's taken over the Frontier and has been eyeing the Lincoln and Mama won't let me sell any of 'em.
