Minimum tire pressure

What is the minimum tire pressure to keep the light off?

I've been running around 50-55psi since pretty much the first week I brought her home back in March and never had an issue.. then Monday, this week, the dash starts yelling at me telling the rear tires are low. I have almost 5k miles on the truck, why am I getting a light now?

When i first got her
I tried 55 up front for a few days
But it felt wrong
50 in rear
50 in rear actually gives superb contact patch
But once I put the toolbox and its crap..55 worked better

What are the tire pressures listed on the door jamb sticker?

10psi below what the door jamb sticker says will set off the light. I ran 8 psi and only had an issue when the temp dropped for the winter.

My guess is that you had had a cooler spell and the tires dropped a pound or two causing the light.

Fun fact you can adjust the tpms warning with Forscan. I run 47 in the front and 44 in the rear unless I'm hooking to a trailer or hauling heavy. No uneven tire wear or anything of such. Ran this way for over 30 000 miles and run this set up on my 2020 as well

I typically keep mine at 55 and no TPMS warnings or lights. If it gets cold and they drop to 52-53, then it starts yelling at me.

It seems like you need to go over 55 to shut the warnings off, then you can drop back down. That's been my experience anyhow.

Empty, I run 50 front and 40 rear (lighter Godzilla). It makes a big difference in ride quality. I just have to OK the warning at start up every time. Can't wait to get it Forscanned to 55 and 45. I run 50 and 50 when I hook up my bumper pull travel trailer with 700lb tongue weight, and a few hundred pounds in the bed. I found the recommended tire pressure chart for 275/65-20 tires, this is still waaaaay above recommended.

Oh, yeah, the bed and hitch scales still work at the lower pressure.

Quite.

The day I brought my 2025 home, with 17" wheels.. at 65/80psi! ...I changed them to 18's, and a more sedate 60/65psi, and, finally, for ride quality, 55/60psi... all adjusted with ForScan. No lights.

yep. Forscan is the answer. Mine are set to 60 all the way around.

Thanks, bumped them upto 55fr and 60rr to turn off the light for now. It's just really odd that I've gone almost 4 months and 5k miles with them sitting where they were and never had a light come on.

Temps have gotten hotter since March too, so I dont think it was that.

When "empty" (about 750# in the bed between Decked drawers and some basic gear) I am running 55 F/R with no issues and a decent ride. 21k miles to date. No lights. I have Forscan but haven't adjusted anything.

When towing 5000-7000 w/600-800# tongue weight I put the rears up to 60. At 10,000 and 1000# tongue I will go to the Ford recommended 60/65.

Mine used to be like that, until last week.
