If you go with a standard measure tire like 34x10.5 or 35x10.5 you are going to pay a premium. I ran 315s (34.5") on factory 16s but they did rub at full lock to the left. The rubbing wasn't bad but it would rub. On a crew cab or extended cab this would be more pronounced because of the larger turning radius requiring tighter turns more so than my regular cab.
I towed a 10k lb trailer for quite a while so I dropped to a 285 (33") when the 315s wore out. I liked the 285s but I could get the same fuel economy at 70mph with 315s as 60-65mph with 285s.
235/85-16's are narrow and tall. They wouod be my choice to take some gear out of my F350 dually since it has 225/75-16 on it but I'm too broke to buy new tires.
I have four used 255/75-16 that will go on the drives soon.
