Don't have any points so looking to buy something to make it easier to clean the bugs off the nose of the hood.
Is there one kind better then others. Not sure about the stick down kind as I am apprehensive about them hutting the hood trying to get them off for resale. But if they are best I am not against them.
I've always used AVS Aeroskin. Never an issue through many, many car washes. As far as removal at resale or trade time I just let them go with the truck. Same with the window vent shades. The tape is strong stuff and I figure that there's a good chance of breaking it in a removal attempt. I wouldn't want to put an old shield on a new truck anyway, even if it did fit.
I have the avs ford logo stick on
I have had good service from them on the 22 150 and now the 24
Only issue
Is measure 2x clean the area2x
be patient removing protective film on the tape
my truck is black. So it blends in real nice
imo it does nothing for bug deflection
but has taken many rocks
Our roads are horrible with small rocks and debris
Many AVS shields on different units, always one of the first adds along with the Fia screen that I keep on year round https://gofia.com/ https://realtruck.com/b/avs/ Even before the plow gets installed Never had an issues with air flow !
I had a local shop put a 3m type film on. He has a machine that cuts the piece to size and cuts out around the inset part of each letter. I think it was 18" tall (up the hood) and took him around 2 hours to install. It is practically impossible to see it unless I point it out. Yes if you slide your finger down the hood you will feel the edge but its VERY invisible. After a 500 mile road trip; lots of expired bugs, I just wipe that film off with wet towel and its brand new looking. No testing of rock or any other chip inducing projectiles yet. I did look at the more rigid plastic piece for bug/wind deflection but dont like the black/smoke look on my white truck and don't know if the paint color will fade underneath it.
