Does anybody have a picture, or can point me to information regarding the insulation that is on the bottom of the shifter cover. Mine has pretty much disintegrated to nothing. I have a 1972 F250 with a T18 4 speed.
Are you talking about the foam sponge thing?
I did not look for one for mine as it was also just falling apart also. I would think if you can find some closed cell foam it would be ok.
I dont know what it is used for but I am not running anything and I dont get any smells and dirt in the truck but I also have 2 good rubber boots, main trans NP435 and over drive lever, and then carpet.
