My rusted out area is up next the cab and all the way across.
I would settle for a strip 8" long by the entire width of the bed.
(It doesn't have to be the piece next to the cab.)
I thought I had a picture showing the rusted area but I don't. BUT.... you can imagine up next to the cab in the bed where the water would stand after the drain spaces stopped up with debris. It is worse on the passenger side (about 4") and decreases down to maybe 1/2" on the driver side.
The bed that donated my rear bed corner has been gone to the scrapper for some time now........ Oh well.

Of course it doesn't have the pressed in strips, etc .... but I did it 40 years ago. One piece wouldn't work because of the stake pockets, so I split it and but welded back together in place. I did not cut old / original out, I simply added the steel over it after all was primed / painted. The pic here was taken in 2021 while the bed liner was out, and I aded some brush in Iron Armor before putting a new drop in back in. I attached to original panels with smooth headed carriage bolts, also added a few 3/4" drain holes. Local metal fab shop got me the steel, and used a brake to form the angle. I started a 5'x10' sheet of steel.
I already sold both of my "parts' beds...but might be quicker and easier to just make the panel yourself. Worse case my local JY has lots of parts beds. But my free time is limited by my dang day job now days and my weekends are booked solid.
If only this guy knew....
Ha hold up a min...get your teeth out of the piece I need. Lol
Look close at the 1st pic they already had almosr deskinned the dvr side. See the exposed stake pockets? And in the 2nd pic it ie easier to see that they already cut a bunch of the dvrs side outer skin off.
