I'll be soldering in a Kicker line out convertor tomorrow and installing. I'll document that journey here in case anyone else would like to add an aftermarket amp/sub to their 2015-2017(?) F.

Happy Saturday!

Was a 2017 STX...doh.

Anywhos, the install went great. That little box slaps.

This install does not have that center mount speaker on the dash, nor a factory amp. Tied the line out converter into the stereo (CD player) harness. I didn't take any photos while soldering, as it was already a tight fit...didn't want to burn anything. I did however get some good pictures of the process.
3 clips in front, 2 screws towards the windshield. For the top tray. Totally spaced on that picture apparently.

The faceplate has 8 clips, a firm tug at the top will release it. There are 2 screws on top (previous picture)

4 screws for the CD player. All are 9/32.

I tied into the front speakers, ground, and ran the remote with the RCA.

Very easy to fish on the passenger side near the center console trim. Pretty nice gap.

The wires tuck very nicely under the door trim.

Ran the wires behind the rear seat. Added some pass throughs for power and jacks in hopes to avoid any wires catching on the seat.

Perfect fit, with about an inch to spare above the box.

Fun install.
Fun install.

When you pull the CD player, you want the larger plug towards the drivers side. Obviously this needs to be done with caution, as you are modifying the stock harness. Take your time and you'll get it. Easy install with a buddy. Only took us about 3 hours, and we took a pizza break.

Left Front +: White Wire

Hope everyone had a great weekend.
