I recently installed a Centerforce Dual-friction clutch in my '75 F250 and have about 500 miles on it. I installed a new throw-out bearing and there were no signs of contamination on the old Clutch disc. The fly wheel was resurfaced.
When I really lay into it and burn out however the tires spin and grab, spin and grab, rather jerky. Not that this is a recommended activity or anything but What other factors could make the wheels jump like this. Is my new clutch slipping? Could it be related to my Dana 60 limited slip rear? Or do I just need traction bars or something to keep the truck from hopping?
That's not your clutch slipping, it's actually your rear axle trying to wind up your leaf springs. Don't keep doing that, you'll blow out your spider gears, or some other point in the driveline. If you must do burn outs get ladder bars.
