If you're going to change the seats and want to sell the console let us know. I have a 65 Ranger that can use it.
Hey Christmas, I want the console!! I have a '66 that either the console was taken out, or it never got one. ( I keep forgetting to check under the carpet for holes to indicate if it ever had the console).
As it is a short wheelbase and what looks to be a cool color, (Possibly Palomino Metallic) I would hope someone would try to save it. Folks are welding in new floors all the time, and while I am not much of a welder, I would be interested in it if I knew where you where and what you would want for the truck, but pictures are worth a thousands words.
Sitting in mud froze rear drums.
I removed nasty rusty drums, and at least it rolls, rear end, driveline turns well. One drum still had factory assembly clips on 3 studs.
Appalachia1965,
Thanks for posting additional pictures.
Naturally as it is your truck, you can do what you want and afford, but I myself would be patient and keep what makes your truck special, and that is the somewhat rare original "Ranger Option" seats and center console. I believe that the seat covers can be ordered for a stock Ford Mustang and I personally at 5'9" and weighing more than I should, find the seats comfortable. I drove my Ranger optioned long bed 7K last year and enjoyed every minute. Mine too is a FE motor with Auto trans, but yours will be much more pleasant on the highway with the lower revving diff. Also, the short bed is very desirable as people are cutting up long beds quite often. I am not a purest, but my personal tastes tend to be slight mods. A little more power, adding power steering, IMHO only will make a great truck better.
Care to post some additional photos of the exterior? So far, the photos you have shown and looking back at those in your gallery, I son't see anything that scares me, and, for me as a fellow Ranger owner, it's exciting to share in your great find.
Well, the interest in the truck would be keeping it appropriately optioned, and that would mean...including the seats and console. But you still haven't posted any pictures of the actual truck.

Looks like an old ford truck. Now, how about pics of the rust damage? Inside the doors, floor with door open, and a shot from inside the wheel well of the cab mounts is what is required to access the work needed to make it a good old ford truck.
