Hey, anyone out there running 20" Torque thrust style rims? They are about the only I can find with the 5 on 5-1/2 pattern.
I would like 10" on rear and 8" up front.
If you are running these size rims could you please pass along the specs...backspace and offset?
Are you running spacers to provide clearance issue anywhere?
The Torq Thrust wheels are available in more than just 20" with 5x5.5" (5x139.7mm). Not sure what offset or backspace you would need. Would also need to know tire size you plan to run as far as other clearance issues are concerned. 2wd or 4wd makes a big difference. On my 4wd I am running 16" 5x5.5" American Racing wheels, they have a 4.5 inch backspace, and it is very tight with the tie-rod ends. The edge of the wheel is only about 1/4 to 1/2" away from the tie-rod. A larger diameter wheel would have much more clearance with that same back spacing. If I were to get different wheels I would step up to a 17 or 18" or reduce backspace to 4" if I stayed with a 16" wheel.
I would try to avoid wheel spacers of any sort unless that was a last resort.
I just picked up a 72 f100 with 20" American Racing wheels (20x10 and 20x8), not sure of the offset, but they have a 1.5" spacer in the back. Tires are 295/40 and 235/50.
