Whats the best way to transfer a cab off of donor truck to my frame? was thinking of building some sort of jack lift were i can lift cab and doghouse and roll fram out from under it.
Thanks Tim
If you have an engine hoist, poke it through the window or open door and build a support to lift it up and off the frame. If your inside, hoist it up to the rafters and roll the frame out from under it. Just some things I've done.
The last cab we did just 1 yr. ago, we used a forklift. before that we used a couple of 4x4 wood blocks and put a rope around the ends and picked it up with a chainfall from the rafters in my garage, another way would be to slide two 2x6's under the floor of the cab and have some of your strong buddies come over for a few beers and after a beer, have one stand at each end o the 2x6 and lift them up and rest the boards ontop of 55gal. drums.

That's exactly what I did last Sunday! The beer trick always works! "Hey can you come over and give me a hand I got some cold beer waiting for you!" They always seem to come over after that!
