Finishing up a CV install on my '62 which has a '72 302 and I've installed a Borgeson 800330 power steering pump. The pump bracket that Borgeson provides worked perfect to mount this directly to the head above the fuel pump, but the pulley is above the water pump pulley so I don't think there will be enough belt engagement to drive the water pump. I assume that my two best options are to find a double groove pulley (no clue what the part number would be) or to make a custom bracket. Anybody else ran across this issue.
Edit: Forgot to add that it has a 3 bolt balancer. Didnt have time to pull the W/P pulley but akwardly putting a pair of calipers to it had me at around 6", I think the more common dimension is 5.875" which it very well could be since my calipers were at a goofy angle.
They make a "soft start" regulator for the 3G ALT so it dose not belt scream on startup.
This is a normal "down grade" when doing a 3G ALT swap and only have 1 belt driving it on the 80's trucks.
No, it does not lower the output it delays the output on start up to keep the belt from slipping on start up.

That's good to know. I've been runnning this for a year so and it screams like a banshee for a few seconds when I start it up. I had chalked it up to the belt slipping or being cold.
