To help with your pcv problem, this is all you really need to remember:
The hose on the passenger side valve cover needs to have a pcv valve on the end plugged into the valve cover. The other end needs to be connected to a vacuum source. The hose on the driver side valve cover needs to be attached to a source of filtered air.
