This truck has been a sitting in this guys yard ever since I was a kid, and I finally got him to sell it to me. I told him to take some time to think on a price. So I’m reaching out seeing what it’s worth.
it’s a 57 F100 with a stuck 292 V8 2 barrel carb with a 3 on the tree with overdrive. Not sure how long it’s been stuck. He used to drive it around town but unsure of how long ago.
it’s rusty, drivers floor has a pretty big hole, passenger side isn’t far away from the same. Tailgate is missing, and interior is pretty trashed. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a look underneath at the frame.
not too worried about the looks. Just want to get it running and driving.

I don't know how long it's been since you were a kid, but that truck, sunk to its axles and half rotted away, has been there a really long time. It's going to be worse than it looks here once you get it home. Do you live in a title state? Does he have the title for it, or can get a replacement? That could make a big difference if you can't get papers for it. I wouldn't go more than a grand on it, personally. If it turns out to be not as useable as you hope, you may be able to part it out and get your money back there. Any more than that and I'm afraid I'd tell the neighbor to let it rust in peace.
