ashtray operation?

ashtray operation?
Okay, I don't smoke and just recently purchased a 2004 F250, is there any special technique to pull open the ashtray, do they commonly jam closed?

Are you talking about the cup holder in front of the ashtray?

Because they can jam up. If so, I think there is some tabs or screws accessible from the underside.

You would have to carefully dismantle it.

the cup holders slide out easily, but the ashtray feels jammed! I suppose I could full the cupholders out, then look in from the top with a flashlight. Thanks BTW!
