Anyone change the chrome grill for a blacked out one? Not a big fan of the chrome grill but looking at trucks and one has the chrome package. I would like to change it to the black package grill. Thoughts. Thanks.
A local graphics shop has posted photos they did wrapping a chrome grille on a Chevy to match the white on the rest of the truck.
So wrapping is a possibility if a suitable color replacement is expensive or difficult to find.
Replaced my XLT chrome grille with the XL (work truck) black version. Same exact design but chrome eliminated. I also replaced the oval with the black/smoke gray badge. It's simple but I like the look.
Grille part number: PC3Z-8200-AB
I saw a thread a while back where they blacked out the fangs. I searched and didn't find and was hoping to get a response from them. Thanks for all the input.
Those honeycombs are much bigger than the 2000 F-150 I have, so they may not have the same issue, they are a royal pain in the rear to clean bugs, pollen, mud out of them.
They look great, but PTSD on the cleaning is creeping up.
