Is there a warranty card on the driver door?
What is the VIN on the title?
If there is a warranty card, does it match the title?
Have you looked on the passenger side frame rail for a stamped VIN?

Any pictures you have will help solve the mystery as well.
Large Truck dashes sometimes differ from the same year pickup, usually holding a previous model for several years for example.
