I need to get a couple of spares as they are predicting a local volcano is gonna blow soon.
Decent quality filter?
This is the company selling those... I have heard of them before and seen them online. They sell all kinds of filters for different makes. Look into the reviews for that filter and make an educated decision based on that.
Your correct. And that is why I posted the link of the ENGINE air filter.
Good god, at least you can read! LOL.
It did get a little sideways there, I opened thinking the engine and then had to read it a few more times. Too many adult beverages though so there is that.
I change mine here every pollen season (both actually) and haven't done it on this truck.
My first thought was cabin air filter too. That looks nothing like the engine air filter for my '19 6.7. Must have changed them for the 2020 model year...

LOL, ........................any way back to topic. When we have our trucks (and other engines) in the forest dealing with spent forest fires, there is a ton of powder like ash everywhere almost like flour. We will wrap our stock filters with a thin foam rubber soaked in oil and wring out the excess. Same as a prefilter on a lawn mower/small engine. Just make sure to remove it once the air is clear. Works wonders and is reusable after cleaning.
I'm not a big fan of Made in China filters. But during Covid, I could not find Motorcraft Air filters, So I bought a Doc's and it worked fine.
Last fall I bought a Motorcraft air filter from Rock Auto and it didn't come close to fitting my 2023. Even though the part numbers on the box said it should fit. Frustrated and not wanting to buy another Wrong sized filter, I bought a Doc's and it fit just fine.
If you want to see how well your filter works just put a smear of clean grease in the downstream air flow. Next time the filter is out look and see how much dust it has collected.
White lithium grease would be good for this. I wouldn’t use silicone as that might be bad for downstream sensors.
