It still might help someone in need, if you could afford to give it away. I was under the impression it was so rough it was unsellable. And yes, years ago, the guberment gave everyone a larger than they deserve deduction base, hence why we (me included) struggle to ever exceed it. I guess we shouldn't complain, we can still complain about taxes on taxes on taxes tho.
Good luck, hope it goes to someone who can use it, and makes room for your new one.
rough is relative. Honestly if you saw it you would wonder why we are getting rid of it. A more unscrupulous person could probably sell it for decent money if you just hid the problem areas and didn’t say anything. I’m not that type of person, though, so I could never do that.
If I sold it now you wouldn’t know the furnace doesn’t work until fall. If I stood in the right place you’d never know the floor has a problem. The AC is great, the fridge is perfect, the water heater works great. But I could never sleep at night selling it and not letting someone know about it.
I figure its organs will be transplanted into a more healthy patient.
Good to hear Mike, I approach life the same way. I feel I'm blessed and treat everyone as I wish to be treated. Good luck in selling, and I'm sure you are looking forward to adventures in your new one.
