I've got a 1960 F100 4X4. Its tranny is a 4 speed granny low. I'm reasonably sure it's the original trans with a divorced transfer. My issue is 2nd gear, I normally start in 2nd but the trans shifter actually crosses over the transfer shifter. Then when I try to put it in third I either nick 1st or reverse grinding it a bit. Any suggestions what might be wrong? I realize both 1st and reverse are non synchronized. Trans shifter in 2nd.
