OK I am swaping a 460 into my 1978 F 150 4x4. It currently has a 351m. I'm looking for a set of fender well exit headers. I can't seam to find anyone that makes them. I would appreciate any help you all could give . Such as brand, part number would be greatly appreciated.
thanks for the quick reply. Little bit more than I wanted to spend, but if there the only game in town then I just gonna have to make the wife work some overtime. Lol

These are the hidden or rather often overlooked costs for the 460 swap. Exhaust, flywheel, accessory brackets, engine mounts, oil pan need to be sourced and all add to the cost. L&L specializes in the swap, but they have always been expensive. As the saying goes, you got to pay to play!
If you can find a donor vehicle that you can get those things it can be much less expensive, depending on what kind of deal you find. But just buying a bare 460 and swapping it in can be quite expensive.
The 351M/400 platform may have less options and $ per HP is more expensive to build than 429/460 engines, but when you account for all the extra things you need to make the swap work, often you'll find out you're money ahead to rebuild what you currently have in the truck or find a truck that already has what you want.
This isn't just specific to the 351M/400 to 460 swap. Converting to a different series engine in Ford trucks can require a lot of "little things" that are expensive or very difficult to source.
But if you have a wife willing to put in the OT then I say go for it!
I've got a line on a couple 460s that are complet in the in the truck. So I'll be going that route and getting a complete set up.
the main reason I'm looking at the 460 is because I'm going to stroke it to 545 CID.

In that case, building a 545, those headers are going to be one of the less expensive parts you will need to take full advantage of that much displacement. L&L sells ladder bars too, or at least used to. I am thinking you're going to need a set...
