Check Oil Light
Yesterday morning when I started my car my check oil light came on for the first time since I've had it. Ichecked and it was fine for the cold reading on the dipstick. It stayed on until I turned off the car. Later when I started it in the afternoon the light didnt come on but it came on again this morning. I had an oil change about 2 months ago and I cant figure out why its only coming on in the morning when I let it sit all day today and started it in the afternoon again it didnt come on but it was still cold.

It will sometimes go on
When parked on a hill and the level is just down a little bit. It usually come on when you are down one quart. There is a add oil, lower level of the hatch marks and full. If you are seeing cold and hot, that is the transmission. If you had the oil recently changed, I'd be looking for a drain plug or filter that is leaking.
