Remote Start Configuration

I am a new owner of a 2020 F350 (6.7L) that has a lot of bells and whistles. But I am confused with the remote start. My understanding is when the temp is cold outside (this is Idaho...so I mean cold LOL) that the heated steering wheel and heated seats will come on. When it's hot, the vented seats will engage. The heated steering wheel comes on with remote start, but not the seats. I have gone into the settings and tried both "last used" and "auto" or whatever they call them. Neither one turns on the heated seats during remote start. Now, when I get in the truck and touch the start button, both seats indeed turn on immediately. Can someone tell me if this behavior is normal? Or shouldn't the heated seats be turning on as well during remote start? Full disclosure: I have made some changes with Forscan and that might have something to do with it but I hesitate to change it all back if this indeed is normal. By the way, the truck has Automatic Temp Control if that matters. Thank you in advance for your help.

Remote start your truck. Let it run 5 minutes. Open the driver's door but don't get in the truck. Touch the seat bottom - is it warm? I think I remember that my seat heating lights don't illuminate until I hit the Start button with the keyfob in the truck, but the seats are actually warming.

The LEDs for heated/cooled seats do not come on with a remote start until you key-on/PTS, at least for MY2022. See my post #254 in this thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post20982674.

Thank you guys for the quick responses.
(1) The seats don't heat at all. I can let the truck run for 10 minutes or 1 minute. When I get in, both sides are cold yet the steering wheel is nice and warm.

(2) I read your post and I ended up seeing a great video for 2022 trucks and a programming fix. Not sure that will help with a 2020 or not. Before I get too carried away, maybe I should go back to the as built data and see what goes on. But I don't recall doing anything to the DSM or SCME modules...

I find it interesting that once I touch the start button, both seat LED's light up with all three lights. At that time, the seats heat up just fine.
