Hello Guys!
I bought a cheap 06 f150 a couple of months ago and it came with a ranch hand. I was wondering whats the best way to remove it? Thank you guys!
Beer, you need beer, to lure your buddies, that have wrenches to come and remove it for you, or 2 come alongs to hold it while you remove it by yourself.
Most brush guards are assembled, then attached to the frame in front of and sometimes under the bumper.
First, identify the mounting points. Then, begin disassembly of the unit. Look to see where the different pieces were bolted together. Take the unit apart, piece by piece. Start from top to bottom. Work your way down to the mounting brackets. If you simply remove the bolts holding the mounting brackets to the truck frame, you will have a huge, heavy, awkward piece of metal that won't cooperate.
