Dead radio?
Hello guys, I love making posts on here!. Are there any reasons a aftermarket radio could blow? I have power to the yellow wire(battery) and power to the red (ignition wire) and have good ground, the radio was working before I went to start the truck and then it wouldn’t do anything. The truck started and ran normally and everything else worked but the radio. I took it out and hooked it up to a battery via test leads and nothing happened. Also, what could cause this, I have ran this radio for over 6 months and it didn’t do this. I also tried pressing the reset button the fuse on the back of the radio is also fine.

Did you buy it new or used?
You sure there is power into the radio?
No lights or anything?
They are cheap enough just get another one but dont think I would get the same brand.

I found it in the tub of electrical that my dad had, I think he bought it for his 3rd gen dodge but it didn’t fit. It is a sound stream and it was new in box, I hooked the radio up outside of the truck via test leads and it didn’t light up or anything. And I used a snap on test light (the one that doesn't need a ground to work) and confirmed that the wires that need power, have power
