Thanks guys! He was a neighbor to my folks and I grew up across the street from him and his wife. He has been a otr trucker his whole life. Started when he was 20 and finally quit last year when turned 87 in June. The last 20 years or so I have been at the shop in town he would stop by and BS every time he was back in town. Going to miss those visits for sure.

That is crappy, work all that time and finally retire just to die right after. It seems if people retire and they have no projects/hobbies or reason to get up every morning, they don't live long after retirement.

Yeah I agree. Seems like a person needs something to do when retirement hits or it all seems like it can easily go down hill.
