OK Holley tech stat gurues. I have a 1984 F250 with a 460. The holley that is stock on it has numbers that I havent seen before. The standard rebuild kits do not work on this carb. The numbers on the horn are as follows. E3TE-9510-RD List50003-1 2793
The carb works fine but seems a little lack on power. Is this carb created to economize this motor. I have played with jets by putting 68 holley jets in the front and changed the plate in the secondaries with a standerd type holley metering plate with larger fuel (jet )sizes. I also put a regular power valve in the metering block. The performance was astonomically better but the fuel mileage went to about 8 to 9 mpgs. When I put all the (weird stuff) back the way it was stock, the mpgs are about 11 but power suffers. Is this a good carb or should I go to a 650 or 750 standerd holley carb. Or is there any tips I can do to the carb I have now. By the way a 750 cfm carb butterflys do not fit in the egr plate openings. I tried. I would have to change the intake or.
