5.4L issue/ backfiring?
I have a 2004 f250 with the 5.4L. After driving for about 15/20 mins it wouldn't let me hard accelerate and lack of power. I took it home, did some digging, and found that fuel trims were way off, -20 to -25 for short-term trim and -24.8 (consistently) for long-term trim. If I let the truck cool down and start it back up short-term numbers drop to within spec. but long-term stays the same. As soon as I give it any gas (even in park) numbers jump way out of wack and stay out of wack till I let the truck cool down again. I also noticed some intermittent backfiring at idle. The fuel pump and filter were replaced about 4 months ago and a tune-up was done about a month ago.
