My Wife and I have donated to two trust funds, one set up for the family of an ex-coworker, whos Husband died unexpectedly, the other was for the man and his family-(the man is a truck driver who had a suicidal man pull his suv into the path of his truck, could do nothing but hit the suv and was very, very shaken up) what I was wondering is that is it expected to receive a simple thank you card from the trust funds manager, or even the family?? in this case we have not received anything from either situation, and in the case of my ex-coworker is now back at work and never has mentioned the fund at all.
Ever since 9/11 it has been hard for me to make a 40 hour week and the fact we came off $100.00 for her, I would have expected a simple card back then, what do YOU think??
You konw, You would think people could be more caring but alas that isn't the case all the time. Just remember there is someone somewhere looking at you who is very proud to call you thier son.
Supercab, If you are the kind of person who donates to that sort of cause, you are not the kind to ask for a standing ovation. On the way to work this morning, I saw a Dodge neon eaten by a Kenworth. Very ugly. If you wake up in the morning breathing, and all the parts still work (mostly, anyway) you have to be content with that. My hat's off to you. Camo4stealth
Supercab. In this case, it might not be the families fault for not thanking you. Most trust fund payments are sent directly to a bank account. This bank account is then overseen by an attorney. Then the attorney gets the notification of deposits, once a month. It would be up to the attorney to let the family know that someone has made a donation, so they in turn can send a thank you.
NH HOTTIE, lawyers will be the ruin of this county. Think about it, most congressmen are ex or presently lawyers. That fine Clinton pair also. Lawyers can screw up anything. If you donate to a trust fund, don't expect any thanks from a lawyer either, they will skim their cut off the top, though. Camo4stealth
