My 2023's electric parking brake hasn't given me a lick of trouble... I turn it on when I park, I turn it off when I want to go. I don't like that it kicks off so easily... but that it probably a discussion for another thread.
My 2025's E-brake... has a mind of it's own. Sometimes it will apply itself when I shift into Park, sometimes it won't. When I first picked it up, it kept throwing a warning box up about the parking brake 'having limited functionality' ...whatever that means... although it applied manually just fine, and disengaged just fine.
I've looked to see if there is a setting I can change to just make it manual... like my 2023 is... but there doesn't seem to be, or I'm not finding it.
Anyone else have issues with erratic E-brake behavior? It's been a while since I fired up ForScan for the 2023... is there a setting in there that will knock off the automatic application?
From my new HELM owners manual. Looks like the E brake will engage when brake pedal is not fully pressed when put in park.
Well... my driveway has an incline... trust me, that brake is mashed when I shift into park. But... it's interesting, I'll dilly with the brake pedal and see if it makes a difference.
