Clutch pedal bushing problems
The hyd slave cylinder cracked on me when I was 200 miles from home pulling a 20ft gooseneck horse trailer picked my least stops and turns to get home had 11 of them and one back up into driveway when got here. Anyway put a new slave and master cylinder on , dealer said they had a Tech update, was a old # ,they put the heavier one back on from 90 back to ? said probably would fix it, they gave me a new bushing and by the time I had gotten out of their lot the rod had popped off center. That was last summer and just wore another out a couple weeks ago, we made one out of a brass bearing bushing but it will slide of when wiggle the pedal by hand, stop by dealer again and they had all of this other stuff should try, the arm or rod is bent, the other nylon bushing in pedal assembly might be wore. When the bushing gets wore it'll grind when try to shift from a stop and harder than #@!! to shift into any gear.
I told the dealer was ready to go back to GMC
Anyway I stopped at parts store and bought a couple E-clips and put on the rod and it has stayed on but like ya said something has to be outa wack but till then I'll see how long this lasts.
Thanks
