Strait axle swap
Hey im trying to do a striaght axle swap on my 1980 ford f250. Has a ttb with a 3:54 gear ratio. What would be the best front axle gear ratio to look for? Is 3:54 offered in a dana 60?

Yes they do. I picked a 1989 F350, here are the ratios available that year. Probably can get this ratio most years, 1985.5 up to 1998 F350. 1985.5 was the first year they put the straight axle in the f350. Even a 1980 f350 had the TTB originally.

(Spicer 60, mono-beam), ABS, 4.10 ratio

That is the only ratio to look for unless you plan on changing the ratio in the rear axle.
