LOVED my at3w on the last truck and wanted to go with them again but I am not a fan of the changes in the at4w. Seemed like it was all for the mall crawler crowd. and a downgrade from the at3w. Stiffer and don't ride as well, louder then the at3w, not as good in the snow as the at3w and heavier.
I am going to go with the toyo at3 if I can't find a set of at3w's.
My suggestion would be to try and find a set of a/t3w's before they are all gone. Some sizes you can still get.
But that's just me

On what are you basing your AT4W opinion? Personal experience? Truth is, your comments are the first criticism I've ever seen of the Falkens. They are almost certainly going to be my next tire.
Before you fully decide, take a look at the General Grabber ATx's. They are a solid tire, never had any issues with them, and they go through just about anything. They're similar to the BFG KO2's posted above, but the price is a tad lower (or was, I haven't looked in a while). My next set of tires will be these again, I'm still wearing off the stock tires.
IMHO, there are few things that guys get as worked up about as tire choices. Often based on experience, but just as often, based on "my BIL's fired had a set and we got stuck..."
I am a perfect example When I lived in W. CO I had 2 sets of BFG KO2's. I thought they were horrible. Wandered due to the very flat center section, terrible in anything that wasn't dry.
The KO3's reportedly address the wet/snow performance issues of the KO2's, however I have no personal experience with either of them. I will be putting KO3's on my truck today or tomorrow. Replacing Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunners.
I've been running the Toyo ATIII for ~7 months now I really like them. The one big plus is they really made my truck ride smoother compared to my previous Nitto Terra Grapplers
I just had tires put on our new 2WD XL... upgrading them from the factory 17" tires and wheels, to the same 18" wheels I have on my STX. I went in to Cooper... to have another set of the great Cooper AT3's put on, only to find out Cooper, now owned by Goodyear, killed the AT3, and replaced it with the Stronghold AT, which has a far more open tread, with smaller lugs than the AT3. I wasn't prepared for that change, and went ahead and had them put the Strongholds on... but I should have had him put a set of Toyo AT III's on, which is very similar in design to the Cooper AT3... with a more solid outside rib.
We will see how the new Coopers hold up, but if I don't like them... I'll be switching to the Toyo AT III.

I'm not that impressed with the new tread on the KO3. I think it is less aggressive than the KO2. In fact, it remind me a lot of the BFG Long Trail T/A that came stock on my 2005 Lariat 250. I wish I was ready for new tires, because there are a few KO2 out there still, but few and far between. I have no driving experience on the KO3, I will admit, it just doesn't look like it would be as good in mud and snow as the KO2.
When my 2015 Lariat needed the Original Toyo's replaced, I bought another set of Toyo instead of KO2, due to being in a hurry, and couldn't get the KO2 as quickly, all other tires I have ever bought for any truck I owned were KO2.
But based on the KO3, when my 24 KR needs tires, I'll probably look at Toyo again, as well as some others. The KO3 doesn't impress me.
(Edit: I am not sure if the BFG's I was buying for the 2005 back in the day were called KO2, but you get the point. Same tread style as the KO2.)

The reviews so far seem to be mixed on the KO3. Some people say they do in fact have better wet/snow performance than the KO2's and are quieter. Others have reported repeated balancing issues and no noticeable improvements over the KO2's.
They came with the wheels that I wanted (along with TPMS sensors) and are new take offs with ~10 miles on them. Not my first choice but I figured I would try them out for a few hundred miles to see how they are. If I don't like them I'll take them off and sell them probably for what I paid for the whole set of wheels/tires/sensors and put on a set of AT III Toyo's. I mainly tow and haul with my truck (but have to deal with Michigan winters) so I don't need such aggressive and heavy tires.
