Wont Start

My '95 XLT, 3.0, 2WD has been running great until an hour ago when I tried to start it in the parking lot and it wouldn't start. Engine turns over fast and I smell gas but does not fire at all. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest pulling the codes but since your stuck that will be hard unless you get it towed or can borrow a scanner.

Have you confirmed no spark?

I got it towed to the dealer. I'll let you know what the problem is.

I was going to buy a truck that sounded identical to that one. The sale was going great until I got in and tried to start it and it didn't fire. Seems the 93-97 model has a problem with the throttle position sensor sticking and won't let it run. But if you are smelling gas I guess it's a different problem. Good luck!
