I had a recent issue while driving my truck today, which is a 2014 F250 PSD Crew Cab Lariat. When this (see link to video below) came on today the truck would not shift out of 2nd gear. Once I turned it off and let it sit for a couple minutes and fired it back up it drove without issue. It did this once before in November with the same remedy essentially. I should also note, although I am not entirely sure its related, that my cruise control has been having issue for the last few months. It mainly cuts off on its own most the time. Still trying to figure this out although I have heard it can be some kind of brake sensor.
I will also note there are no codes as well. Any thoughts?
It seems to me the wrench light is showing some trans issue. You said no codes. If you used a basic code reader (like the ones O'Rielley's sell), they won't read trans codes. FORscan will.

OK, yes I was using a Banks Datamonster. I do also have FORscan, I will check into this, appreciate that!
Update here. I got back to my FORscan and ran the diagnostic and came up with a couple of codes: C0040 and P0504. Some Google searches seem to lead me to the brake light switch, which I replaced a couple years ago when my brake lights would not go off. Do these codes shed any light for anyone?
